Located in the epicenter of Barcelona and with more than 65 years of history behind it, Avenida Palace stands as one of the icons of the Catalan city. The proximity and the familiar treatment are the main signs of identity of the hotel and one of the main reasons why it remains in the memory, not only of its guests but also of those who have been lucky enough to celebrate or attend an event in their wonderful halls.
It is a hotel with a lot of history, which prints an original and unique character to the events it hosts. In the place where today is located Avenida Palace in 1925 was installed the exclusive tea shop and restaurant Casa Llibre, built by the famous Catalan architect Enric Sagnier. Thus, Avenida Palace was raised in 1952 on this space frequented by the Catalan bourgeoisie. Since then, guests have not stopped passing such famous clients as Ernest Hemingway, Lizza Minnelli or The Beatles. It is the place to feel and make feel like real stars.
But beyond its historic character, the hotel has recently completed an ambitious remodeling project. And after renovating the bathrooms of all rooms, incorporated two suites and created a spectacular panoramic terrace between 2014 and 2016, in 2017 has taken the turn to the main floor, recently inaugurated, consisting of a wonderful lobby and the Beat Bar, a delightful English-style bar.
For the celebration of events, the hotel has four unique halls (which can be converted into 6 by one of them) for the realization of conventions, congresses and meetings of a different kind. They offer, in addition, an infinite variety of gastronomic proposals that are adapted to the preferences and needs of each group: buffets, coffee breaks, finger lunch, cocktails, etc.
Krisalia is the delicious eco-friendly catering that gives an answer to all the events that the Avenue Palace welcomes. They identify and adapt to the gastronomic tendencies of each moment, but adding a unique seal, a balanced combination of classic and modern elements, national and international, characterized by an update of traditional techniques and forms of presentation.
Lazotea 605, the beautiful panoramic terrace of the hotel, can also host events of up to 100 people. Ideal for cocktails, guests can enjoy the best views of Barcelona – from the Sagrada Familia to Montjuïc, the Torre Agbar, the coastal strip of the city, etc. – as well as the refreshing swimming pool.
