IFEMA MADRID, a Global Benchmark in Congresses in 2025
IFEMA MADRID reaffirms its leadership as one of the preferred destinations for hosting congresses and conventions on an international level. Throughout 2025, the venue will host a packed agenda of high-profile events, further consolidating its position as a driving force in MICE tourism and an undisputed reference in the trade fair sector.
The year began with Madrid Fusión (January 27–29), a world-renowned gastronomic event that brought together more than 21,000 attendees, including prestigious chefs, specialized journalists, and haute cuisine enthusiasts. In March, the 40th Annual EAU Congress (March 21–24) will gather 15,000 professionals in the field of urology, while the ASLAN Congress (March 18–19) will attract 1,800 experts in technology and digital innovation.
In April, IFEMA MADRID will host the EPA – 33rd European Congress of Psychiatry (April 5–8), a key event in psychiatry with 1,800 participants. May will feature several major events such as the Carrefour Trade Show (May 6–8), bringing together 2,000 retail professionals; the SECOIR Congress (May 7–9), with 2,000 ophthalmology specialists; INORMS Madrid (May 7–8), focused on research and innovation with 1,700 attendees; and the Spanish Rheumatology Congress – SER (May 14–16), hosting 2,000 rheumatology experts.
June will see the GEER Spine Congress (June 4–6), bringing together 900 specialists in spinal disorders. Later in the year, the ESC Congress 2025 (August 29 – September 1) will attract 30,000 participants, positioning itself as one of the most significant events in global cardiology. In early September, the 45th SICOT Orthopedic World Congress (September 3–5) will welcome 2,000 specialists in orthopedics and traumatology.
Autumn will also be a key period for IFEMA MADRID with the SECOT 2025 (October 1–3), gathering 2,700 professionals in orthopedic surgery and traumatology, and the Spanish Breast Congress – 7CEMA (October 16–18), focused on breast oncology with 1,200 participants. Finally, in November, the semFYC 2025 Congress (November 13–15) will host 2,500 professionals in family and community medicine.
